Lowe & Partners Boardroom

The Lowe & Partners Executive Boardroom is a perfect example of how technology can be used effectively in a corporate environment. The Boardroom audiovisual system is used daily for presentations, lectures and demonstrations. Whether its a PowerPoint slide show, viewing the latest video, or recording a meeting, the Lowe & Partners Executive Boardroom provides an effective and easy to use means of presenting media.

From the boardroom, the audiovisual system is controlled via an AMX Color touchpanel. The ATM-style touchpanel guides the end user through any presentation- audio, video or computer. Images are projected onto a 100 inch Draper DiamondScreen. A Sony VPH-1292Q video projector handles all video and graphic display. The Sony projector is located in the AV Booth behind the Boardroom.

The AV Booth houses all system devices in two Middle Atlantic WRK Equipment Racks. Video devices include a Sony VP-7020 American 3/4" Umatic, a Sony VP-7040 Tri-Standard 3/4" Umatic, and two Sony S-VHS VCR's. Computer Signals are generated from a Power Mac and a Pentium-based PC. Via an InLine IN3504 RGBS Switcher, the image is then output to the Sony Projector. Audio devices include Sony CD, Cassette and MiniDisc decks and a Phonic EQ. A Velodyne Subwoofer and Polk RT-8 speakers provide the program audio. Three Sony PVM preview monitors display preview images and live video feeds from the boardroom.

The Remote Control system includes AMX Touchpanels, an AMX Master CardFrame and a slave Mini-CardFrame. The remote control system controls the functions of all the audio and video devices. Other items under remote control include a Knox 16 x 16 Routing Switcher and the InLine RGBS Switcher.

Other functionalities include a mic push-to-talk system between the boardroom and the booth, ceiling video cameras and microphones for recording room activity and several auxiliary wallplates and floorboxes for integrating external devices into the system.

As you can see, the Lowe & Partners Executive Boardroom offers a wide-range of functionality in an easy-to-use environment. Due to the amount of use and client response, it shows audiovisual systems can be durable as well as likable.
